If you are landing here for the first time and you don’t know anything about me you can find out more HERE.
Many years ago I used to blog a lot, Shaneen and I blogged about anything and everything but then our jobs took over and we run out of time.
I have a blog over on the HUB that tells everyone what we are up to over there but with so many exciting things going on with the SHOP and our new home I felt like it was time to start one here too.
This blog will be full of things that are inspiring my interiors, my favourite finds, our home renovation project and what’s going on at our shop of course.
If you follow me on my Instagram @hjsouthwood and @southwoodstores you will know we are in the middle of our house move. We are hoping to be in before Christmas and have huge plans for our new home.
We have exchanged and now have a few weeks to get this house packed up. It is an emotional time as our boys were only 8 and 10 when we moved here. They have done most of their growing up in this house. We have loved this house and created a very special place.
The new house is quirky of course, just as you would imagine if you know me at all. But when you move into any older property you inherit lots of pros and cons that an older house comes with. The house was built in 1915 and is in a very rural setting. It is a beautiful house but will need lots of decorating to feel like our home.
I have been pinning like crazy but I am sure once we actually move it in will all feel very different.
I am obsessing over colour which is feeling very alien to me right now hahaha. The rooms in our new house are much larger so I think they can take some much bolder design.
We have got so many projects ahead of us and we are on a mega tight budget. It is going to be an exciting rollercoaster ride and I cannot wait to show you what we get up to.
Here is a little bit of what I am loving right now..
Lots of Love a very over excited,

Ahh I love your excitement and positive vibes! We are moving from inside MK to a village just outside in the next few weeks, I feel really anxious, mainly worrying about my children (5 & nearly 7) incase they get upset moving schools, but I’m going to try really hard to re-programme my mind to be more excited. Its a choice we have made so I don’t know why I feel nervous. I’m so excited to see your decor and also shop revamp! Thanks for sharing x
